A decomposing body found in Fyzabad is believed to be that of missing taxi driver Sheraz Ali who was last seen alive on May 19.
Police said they were taken to the area where the body was found, by a 26-year-old man who was detained on May 23 after allegedly telling officers he had stabbed Ali during an argument.
The man who has been detained at the Siparia Police Station told officers at 5.30 pm on Sunday May 24, that he wanted to show them where Ali's body was. A party of officers accompanied the man to Total Avenue, Gerahoo Trace in Fyzabad. The officers detected a foul stench and later found a body down a precipice.
