Homicide detectives are today expected to interview a 26-year-old man who led police to the body of taxi driver Sheraz Ali.
Last Friday, days after Ali went missing, the suspect, from South Oropouche, went to the police station with his mother. He allegedly told police that he and Ali had an argument and he stabbed him twice inside his car and Ali drove away.
He was arrested and held at the Siparia Police Station as the search continued for Ali. However, on Sunday around 5.30 pm, the suspect allegedly informed an officer that he wanted to take them to Ali’s body.
