Days after Defence Minister Wayne Sturge referenced his death during an American Cartel Conference at the US Southern Command, the brother of missing coast guard officer Able Seaman (AB) Kieron Simon says his family has yet to hear from government officials on the status of Kieron’s extraction from the waters in which he disappeared more than one year ago.
Instead, brother, Kelvon Simon, says he was never once contacted by members of the government from either of the two ruling political parties that held power since the incident occurred.
Speaking to the Express yesterday, Simon said that although the Coast Guard at one point promised that his brother’s case was being “worked on” last month, since then he said the family has again been met with silence.
