Police are investigating the assault of a 33-year-old woman who was allegedly beaten by her former partner and two male relatives in Maloney Gardens early Monday morning.

According to police reports, around 2:30 a.m., the woman went to the home of her former boyfriend in Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie, where an altercation occurred involving the man, his brother, and their stepfather, who is said to be a police officer.

The woman reportedly left the residence following the confrontation but was allegedly followed, restrained against her will, and forcibly taken back into the yard, where she was beaten by the three men. Police said the assailants kicked and cuffed her about the body, causing serious injuries.
