A former Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) member was shot and killed by police on Wednesday evening after allegedly hijacking a taxi, firing at lawmen and leading them on a dramatic chase through sections of Kingston.
Dead is 34-year-old Sean Raby, who police sources say was dismissed from the force before completing his probationary period due to misconduct and conduct considered prejudicial to the good order and reputation of the organisation.
Reports are that about 6:20 p.m., Raby boarded a taxi as a passenger heading towards downtown Kingston.
