The Independent Commission of Investigations has launched a probe into the fatal police shooting of a man in St Catherine on Thursday night.
Reports are that about 8:45 p.m., members of the St Catherine South Quick Response Unit were on patrol in the Gilbert Avenue area of Dunbeholden, Portmore, when they observed a man allegedly standing with a firearm tucked in his waistband.
Police say they tactically approached a premises and heard movement inside.
