Five more Trinidad and Tobago nationals have been deported from the United States, arriving via a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) charter flight at Piarco International Airport on Thursday.
In a press release, the U.S. Embassy in Port of Spain said the deportees—three men and two women aged 19 to 57—all had significant criminal records. One individual, previously deported from the U.S., was found to have an outstanding warrant in Trinidad and Tobago for robbery. Upon arrival, all five were processed by local Customs, Immigration, and Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) personnel.
Representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services and the NGO Vision on Mission were also present to assist returning nationals in need of support.
