Attorney General John Jeremie has written to chairman of the Statutory Authorities Service Commission, Dr Gloria Edwards-Joseph, calling for swift action in the investigations surrounding the murder of Municipal Police Corporal Anuska Eversley.
Eversley’s killing at the San Fernando Municipal Police Station last Sunday, resulted in the Statutory Authorities Service Commission sending five Municipal Police Constables, including a Superintendent of Police, on immediate leave.
The Express understands that in a letter dated April 21, 2026, the AG wrote to Edwards-Joseph, saying the investigations into the murder highlighted that the suspect is a Municipal Police officer.
