Five more officers attached to the San Fernando Municipal Police Station have been placed on administrative leave as investigations intensify into the murder of their colleague acting corporal Anuska Eversley and the theft of multiple firearms and rounds of ammunition from the facility on Sunday.
A senior officer told the Express that Superintendent of the San Fernando Municipal Police Station Dustan Renn and the four constables on duty on the shift with Eversley were sent on immediate leave. Additionally, the contract of Senior Superintendent of the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, Cecil Santana, has not been renewed.
The Express was told that Santana’s contract expired on April 5, and he was given verbal assurance that the contract would be renewed; however, after the incident, he was told otherwise.
