“We want Kamla. Kamla is the boss lady.”

It was a mantra among passionate United National Congress (UNC) supporters after Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar was declared the undisputed leader of the party yesterday on nomination day at the party’s headquarters in Chaguanas.

Acknowledging their adulation and admiration, she said in an address to supporters: “Do not fear because Kamla is here.”
