Ten Venezue­lan na­tion­als were de­tained af­ter po­lice in­ter­cept­ed a ves­sel off Erin yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Around 7:05 am, of­fi­cers of the South West­ern Di­vi­sion stopped the ves­sel about one mile from shore. The de­tainees, ages sev­en to 25, were hand­ed over to of­fi­cials from the Im­mi­gra­tion De­part­ment and the Chil­dren’s Au­thor­i­ty.
