A senior citizen, who was a victim of a home invasion on Monday, says he is disappointed that the promised stand-your-ground legislation has not yet been enforced.

The resident of Central Trinidad is pleading with lawmakers to put security measures in place before the Christmas season, when there is usually a spike in violent crimes.

Speaking to the Express at his Ravine Sable, Longdenville, home yesterday, the 61-year-old owner of a transport company said he believed the implementation of stand-your-ground legislation would protect law-abiding citizens.
