Caribbean Airlines has warned passengers to expect delays on some of its jet services today due to a regional satellite communications outage affecting the SITA system.
In a media release issued this morning, the airline said, “The issue is not unique to Caribbean Airlines and is affecting ALL airlines using this system.”
Only flights operated by the airline’s Boeing 737-8 fleet have been affected so far, with delays reported on several regional and international routes. Some passengers have faced disruptions of up to four hours.
