A Parish Land, Christ Church man has been sentenced to six months in prison after admitting to stealing more than $2 000 from an unlocked vehicle.
Jamario Akeem Warren, 34, appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court No. 1 and pleaded guilty to stealing $2 208.64 belonging to Jenna Daniel on July 31.
Prosecutor acting Sergeant Reginald Blackman told the court that on the previous day, Daniel parked her vehicle next to her home, leaving it unlocked with the money inside a bag in the door compartment. The following day, while driving, she stopped to make a purchase and realised the bag was missing.
