A 26-year-old St Michael man was remanded to Dodds Prison after admitting to stealing $580 from a woman who had offered him food at her home.
Chad Shamar Springer of Thomas Gap, Lands End, was brought before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to stealing the cash belonging to Angela Downes.
Prosecutor Sergeant Reginald Blackman said that the complainant had known the accused for several years and was in the habit of offering him food whenever he visited her home.
