…body cameras for baggage screeners, law enforcement officers
Works are progressing on the installation of a new baggage handling system at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), with completion expected next month, according to the airport’s Chief Executive Officer, Ramesh Ghir.
The new system is expected to change the way departing passengers process their checked luggage by allowing bags to be dropped off directly at airline counters, where screening will be conducted remotely. New baggage scanners are also being installed as part of the upgrade.
