A St Philip man has admitted assaulting and resisting a police sergeant and will return to court later this month for sentencing.
Stephan Shaquon Lorde, 30, of Parish Land, St Philip, appeared before Magistrate Bernadeth John in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court and admitted to having an offensive weapon, resisting and assaulting Sergeant Troy Jordan during the execution of his duty, and damaging his police shirt on May 9.
The court heard that police responded to a home in St Philip following a report of a dispute. On arrival, the accused was observed with a flick knife in his right pants pocket and was asked to give an account of it being in his possession.
