THERE is no running water, toilet facilities, security or proper parking for maxi-taxis at the Sangre Grande Maxi-Taxi Hub.

So said Route Two Maxi-Taxi Association president Brenton Knights who told the Express at the hub at Brierley Street early yesterday morning that calls made to Minister of Works Rohan Sinanan to intervene in the matter seemed to fall on deaf ears.

“The current state of the Sangre Grande Maxi-Taxi hub is insulting to the members of the Route Two Maxi-Taxi Association. It is insulting to the community of Sangre Grande and the commuters who come from Sangre Grande all the way to Port of Spain,” he said.
