The PNM Tobago Council has screened 13 of the 15 candidates it plans to field in the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly (THA) elections.
Political leader Ancil Dennis told Guardian Media that the party held a second screening session on Monday night, during which 11 nominees were interviewed and six were selected. Only two districts remain without confirmed candidates: Bagatelle/Bacolet and one eastern district. Nominations for Parlatuvier/L’Anse Fourmi/Speyside are set to reopen today.
Dennis said the party expects to complete the screening process by the end of July.
