The PNM To­ba­go Coun­cil has screened 13 of the 15 can­di­dates it plans to field in the up­com­ing To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA) elec­tions.

Po­lit­i­cal leader An­cil Den­nis told Guardian Me­dia that the par­ty held a sec­ond screen­ing ses­sion on Mon­day night, dur­ing which 11 nom­i­nees were in­ter­viewed and six were se­lect­ed. On­ly two dis­tricts re­main with­out con­firmed can­di­dates: Bagatelle/Ba­co­let and one east­ern dis­trict. Nom­i­na­tions for Par­latu­vi­er/L’Anse Four­mi/Spey­side are set to re­open to­day.

Den­nis said the par­ty ex­pects to com­plete the screen­ing process by the end of Ju­ly.
