The People’s National Movement (PNM) Tobago Council has completed its screening process and selected 15 candidates to contest the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly (THA) elections.
The process began in June and involved 35 individuals offering themselves for service across the island’s 15 electoral districts. The final screening session took place earlier this week.
In a press release issued on July 31, the party said the candidates were chosen after what it described as a “rigorous and participatory process.” It said the final slate represents a dynamic blend of youth and experience, comprising people of diverse backgrounds and a proven record of service to Tobago and the wider country.
