Veteran Calypsonian Lord Nelson was presented with a Tobago Diaspora Award at the annual Tobago Diaspora Day celebrations in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday.
The 95-year-old artist, who was born in Plymouth, Tobago, continues to perform at the event, much to the delight of Trinbagonians in attendance in New York.
He was presented the award by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine. Along with the award, Mr Augustine announced that the THA is embarking on two projects to honour Lord Nelson while he is still alive.
