A 66-year-old man was wounded early on Tuesday during an attempted carjacking in Kelly Village, Caroni.
The man was at the La Solita Road Mosque, Islamic Missionary Guild, around 5a.m. when two masked men approached him. One of the suspects, armed with a firearm, demanded the keys to his Nissan Tiida.
The man struggled with the armed assailant, during which a shot was fired, striking his right foot.The suspects fled.
