The relatives of a 32-year-old mother of one, who miraculously survived an attack by an estranged male relative at the family’s home in December, are grateful that she is alive and able to talk and laugh with them.
“We are grateful to God because He is carrying her through all of this. Doctors said she was not supposed to be here. Slowly but surely, she will get better,” a close relative told Newsday on March 11.
She spoke on behalf of the family and asked not to be named.
