Scotiabank has named two new senior executives for its Caribbean South and East regions.
In notices posted to the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange and published in the media, Ambica Bissessar was named Head, Retail Banking Caribbean South & East, while Ingram Bain was announced as Director, Compliance, Caribbean South & East. Both appointments took effect on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
According to the notice, Bissessar is a highly respected banking leader with nearly two decades of service at Scotiabank, with multidisciplinary experience across finance, treasury, trade finance, corporate and commercial banking, as well as retail and small business banking. Her educational background includes a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, with a specialism in International Trade and Finance from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
