The Barbados Fire Service is today mourning the loss of Divisional Officer Wayne David Vaughan.
Vaughan passed away today after 36 years of service, and in a statement on social media, Chief Fire Officer Errol Maynard described him as a person who “answered every call with courage, commitment, and professionalism”.
“Throughout his distinguished career with the Barbados Fire Service, Wayne served with unwavering dedication and a deep sense of duty. Whether responding to emergencies, mentoring younger officers, supporting his colleagues, or serving the people of Barbados, he carried himself with dignity, integrity, and honour. His leadership inspired confidence, his experience guided many, and his presence brought strength to every watch and every station where he served,” the Fire Chief added.
