BANDITS have stolen the proceeds from a recent walkathon organised by a primary school, funds which had been earmarked for the installation of air-conditioning units in the infants' classrooms.

According to reports, the theft was discovered on March 5, one day after the money was brought into the school by students and their parents.

A school official subsequently reported the matter to police, and investigators are searching for the perpetrators in the matter.
