Walcott ends Diamond League season with javelin bronze

Trinidad and To­ba­go’s two-time Olympic medal­list Keshorn Wal­cott end­ed his run of five ma­jor meets with­out a medal when he copped the bronze medal at the Wan­da Di­a­mond League in Brus­sels, Bel­gium on Sat­ur­day.

This was af­ter the 33-year-old Wal­cott, a for­mer Olympic gold and bronze medal javelin throw win­ner, had a best at­tempt of 83.99 m, a sea­son best on his first of six at­tempts in the sev­en-man fi­nal.

Wal­cott al­so had ef­forts of 79.20m, 83.58m, 80.09m, 82.04m and 78.02m.
