A 38-year-old pool technician was shot and killed in front of his father during a daylight attack in Morvant on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Miguel Gregory Hope of Romain Lands, Mon Repos.

Hope, who was employed as a pool technician at the Five Islands Water Park, was at L.P. #60 Plover Street around 5 p.m. when he was ambushed by a lone gunman.
