A man was arrested with thousands of dollars Monday on suspicion of election-related offences.

Police in a media release stated Ag DCP Operations, Curt Simon, Gold Commander of the General Election 2025 reported the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) was informed by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) "of reports regarding alleged voter manipulation through financial inducements".

"Officers have launched investigations into these matters, and several of the reports have already been found to be unsubstantiated," he added.
