Po­lice are try­ing to iden­ti­fy a body that was found float­ing in a riv­er in Va­len­cia on Wednes­day af­ter­noon.

Of­fi­cers said they re­ceived a re­port that a body was in a riv­er at Sap­phire Dri­ve, off the Va­len­cia By­pass Road, at 5 pm and went to the scene.

Res­i­dents led the of­fi­cers through a track to the riv­er bank, where they found the body wear­ing a T-shirt and un­der­wear, with a bed­sheet cov­er­ing the chest.
