Trinidad and Tobago has recorded a 44% reduction in homicides compared with the same period in 2024.
But Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro says despite the improvement, there is no reason for complacency, stressing that every life lost represents a family left grieving.
The latest figures were revealed by Commissioner Guevarro during a graduation ceremony for 142 officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service who completed advanced education and training programmes.
