
COMMISSIONER of Police Allister Guevarro notes a noticeable decline in murders across Trinidad and Tobago in 2025 compared to 2020 and 2022-2024.
Speaking yesterday at the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s breakfast meeting at Passage to Asia, Chaguanas, which focused on crime in the area, Guevarro cited provisional data from the Crime and Problem Analysis Branch.
“For the year 2025, according to provisional data from the Crime and Problem Analysis Branch, 231 murders have been recorded between the close of January and the fourth of August of this year.
