A police exercise on Monday led to the arrest of two car dealers and the recovery of five stolen vehicles in the Diego Martin area.
According to a police media release, an intelligence-led operation conducted by officers of the Stolen Vehicles Squad resulted in the seizure of five tampered motor vehicles and the detention of two suspects, during coordinated efforts across the Northern and Western Divisions on August 11.
Officers visited a foreign used car parts business located at Good Session Drive, Patna Village, Diego Martin, where several vehicles were examined in the presence of the business owner and his son, both used car dealers. The following vehicles were found with tampered chassis and/or engine alphanumeric: White Kia K2700, White Hyundai H100, Dark Grey BMW, White Hyundai Elantra, White Nissan Tiida.
