Hours afÂter actÂing PoÂlice ComÂmisÂsionÂer JuÂnior BenÂjamin reÂportÂed this year’s CarÂniÂval celÂeÂbraÂtions were inÂciÂdent free, four peoÂple were shot in St James yesÂterÂday afÂterÂnoon, one of them faÂtalÂly, forcÂing an earÂly shutÂdown of the celÂeÂbraÂtions there.
AcÂcordÂing to poÂlice reÂports, gunÂshots were heard comÂing from an area near ViÂdale Street and WestÂern Main Road, outÂside the St James MarÂket, around 4.30 pm.
