For­mer Na­tion­al Gas Com­pa­ny (NGC) pres­i­dent and Or­der of the Re­pub­lic of Trinidad and To­ba­go (ORTT) re­cip­i­ent Mark Lo­quan has died.

De­tails of what led to his death have not yet been re­leased but Lo­quan was re­cov­er­ing from brain can­cer surgery.

In a post to his Face­book page yes­ter­day, Prime Min­is­ter Stu­art Young said he re­ceived the news that “a son of the soil of Trinidad and To­ba­go, a great pa­tri­ot, Mark Lo­quan, ORTT passed away to­day.”
