Fi­nance Min­is­ter Dav­en­dranath Tan­coo has con­firmed that ne­go­ti­a­tions for a ten per cent salary in­crease for pub­lic ser­vants will be­gin in the up­com­ing fi­nan­cial year, while cau­tion­ing the pub­lic to “ta­per” ex­pec­ta­tions for the na­tion­al bud­get.
