Ministry Of The People Provides $38,220 One-Off Grant To Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation

The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services (MPSDFS) has provided a thirty-eight thousand, two hundred and twenty dollars ($38,220) one-off grant to the Ryu Dan Empowerment Foundation (RDEF) to support its Power Stitch SEEW (Support, Educate, Empower Wo/men) Programme in Enterprise, Chaguanas.

Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, the Honourable Vandana Mohit, presented the grant to Mrs. Marva Logan, Director of RDEF, on Saturday, 19th September, 2026, at the Foundation’s location in Enterprise.

The three-month programme will provide approximately twenty (20) unemployed and underemployed persons with hands-on training in garment construction, business planning, costing, marketing and financial management, with a focus on developing skills for self-employment and income generation.
