Police are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body found beneath a bridge near the Eddie Hart Grounds in Tacarigua on Wednesday morning.

Officers on patrol along the Priority Bus Route were alerted to the body around 11 a.m. The woman bore multiple chop wounds and was located beneath a bridge spanning the bus route, close to a bright green Water and Sewerage Authority main.

A team from the Region Two Homicide Bureau visited the scene before the body was transported to a mortuary in Champs Fleurs.
