Police are investigating a daytime housebreaking in Diego Martin, where thieves made off with cash, alcohol and electronic equipment on Tuesday.
According to police, the victim, a 40-year-old resident of Charles Avenue, secured his home around 7:45 a.m. before leaving for the day. When he returned at approximately 4:30 p.m., he found the gate to his property open.
Further checks revealed that the door and burglar-proof gate on the western side of the house were also open.
