The Prime Ministerās Pension (Amendment) Bill, 2025, was passed in the House of RepresenĀtatives yesterday without support from the Peopleās National Movement (PNM) Opposition.
Just before 6 p.m., a vote was taĀken by House Speaker Jagdeo Singh, with 27 Government members voĀting in favour while 11 Opposition members abstained. The two Tobago Peopleās Party (TPP) MPs voted in supportāTobago West MP Joel Sampson and Tobago East MP David Thomas.
Two of the 13 Opposition membersāPort of Spain North/St Annās West MP Stuart Young and TrinciĀty/Maloney MP Camille Robinson-ĀRegisāwere absent.
