Opposition Leader Azruddin Mohamed is calling on Guyanese to stop merely watching allegations of corruption unfold and demand action, as he intensifies his scrutiny of what he describes as a pattern of political influence, questionable contracts and preferential access to state resources under the Peopleâs Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Government.
In a video recording released Monday, August 17, 2026, Mohamed urged Guyanese to examine the governmentâs track record for themselves and challenged the Stateâs financial intelligence and law-enforcement agencies to investigate the issues he has raised.
âIâm not asking Guyanese to simply believe me. Iâm asking Guyanese to look at the PPPâs track record. Iâm calling on the SOCU and the FIU, Financial Intelligence Unit, to investigate. Follow the contracts. Follow the procurement process. Follow the money. Examine the bids. Go look for the evidence at the State House.â
