A St James man has been arrested after allegedly selling counterfeit US currency to a Port of Spain businessman in a transaction that reportedly cost the victim more than $54,000.
Police said the suspect was detained on Wednesday after returning to the victim’s business to offer additional US currency for sale.
According to investigators, the incident began on February 23 when the suspect approached a businessman at his establishment in Port of Spain.
