New Little Diamond Day/Night care centre officially commissioned

(Kaieteur News) – Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Vindhya Persaud on Wednesday officially commissioned the $170 million Little Diamond Day/Night care and early childhood development centre.

According to information provided by the ministry, the facility, procured under the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF), can accommodate up to 50 children and will provide care during both the day and night.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Minister Persaud said the facility will benefit families within the Little Diamond Young Professional Housing Scheme and nearby communities, giving parents greater peace of mind while they work, knowing their children are in the hands of trained and professional caregivers.
