Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath says all water leaks identified since December 2025 have been fixed, plugging millions of dollars in supply which were being wasted.
In a statement in Parliament yesterday, Padarath criticised the former People’s National Movement (PNM) government for failing to address the issue.
He said when the United National Congress assumed office, it found a transmission system haemorrhaging an estimated six million imperial gallons of potable water per day, with losses of approximately $250 million over a six-year period.
