Bodoe: Only a few CDAP drugs affected by shortages

Health Minister Dr Lackram Bodoe yesterday acknowledged shortages of drugs under the Chronic Disease Assistance Programme (CDAP), but said about 45 of the programme’s 52 listed medicines remain available.

Bodoe said the shortages affect only a small number of the medicines supplied through CDAP and that alternatives are available for patients while the missing drugs are being procured.

Speaking on I95.5 FM yesterday, Bodoe said he was aware of complaints about shortages and had met with officials from the Ministry of Health and the National Insurance Property Development Company (NIPDEC) to address the problem.
