LESS than 24 hours after appearing in court on two sexual offence charges, prominent attorney Martin George called a news conference and with his fiancée at his side, announced that he was getting married.
During the news conference yesterday at his Dundonald Street, Port of Spain office, George, 58, introduced his wife-to-be, secondary school teacher Alicia Motie, while inviting members of the media to the wedding—to be held on December 27, 2025.
Asked what was the purpose of the news conference, George, who was granted $150,000 bail on charges of grievous sexual assault and indecent assault, did not answer. Instead, he announced that his legal team in the case was being led by Pamela Elder and Ramesh Lawrence-Maharaj, and John Heath.
