Police have launched an investigation into the leaking of confidential information in the Martin George sexual assault case.
The probe follows condemnation of the leak and a call for it to be probed by the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago (LATT). Attorney Saira Lakhan on Thursday also condemned the leak and called for a probe.
The leaked information—including the name, image, and the complainant’s statement given to police—has been circulating on social media, raising concerns about the violation of legal protocols and the protection of victims in sensitive cases.
