Some 21 peo­ple were ar­rest­ed yes­ter­day dur­ing co­or­di­nat­ed State of Emer­gency (SoE) op­er­a­tions across the north­ern and south­ern polic­ing di­vi­sions, with 11 sus­pects held for gang-re­lat­ed of­fences.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS), be­tween 3 pm and 7 pm on Thurs­day 24 Ju­ly 2025, of­fi­cers from the Ari­ma Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment, Guard and Emer­gency Branch, and the Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice con­duct­ed an in­tel­li­gence-led ex­er­cise in Ari­ma, Waller­field, Gua­napo, and Mal­abar.

The 11 sus­pects—who ranged in age from 19 to 44 years—were ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with on­go­ing gang ac­tiv­i­ty in the North­ern Di­vi­sion.
