TOBAGO icon Greta Trim, 90, fondly known as “Miss Trim,” passed away on July 16. She was considered one of Tobago’s matriarchs and culinary pioneer especially curried crab and dumplings. Food connoisseurs frequented her shop at the popular Store Bay beach in Scarborough.
In a Facebook post on Saturday Tobago West MP Joel Sampson announced her passing and extended condolences to her family and friends.
“It is with profound sadness that I join the people of Tobago West and the wider Tobago community in mourning the passing of Mrs Greta Trim, affectionately known as Ma Trim, Mother Greets and simply Miss Trim,” he wrote.
