A soldier appeared before the court Monday charged with the January murder of Chezerae Kidney-Ramdass in Pleasantville.
Kevin Hamilton, 40 of Belmont and a lance corporal with the Defence Force, faced Master Whitney Frankiln. While the case will be advanced by the prosecution and defence, Hamilton will next face the court on September 30.
Kidney-Ramdass, 39 and a mother of two, was shot and killed inside the small business at her home, by a person pretending to be a customer who wanted to purchase soft drinks. The shooter opened fire thorough a window used to conduct sales of shop items. Kidney-Ramdass lived on the ground floor of the apartment at Orchid Gardens, Pleasantville.
